Volaris Airlines launches daily service to Los Cabos at San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport

First ever Volaris service from U.S. to Baja California beaches begins March 2025      

Oakland, Calif. – September 13, 2024: Volaris, Mexico’s largest airline, has announced new daily nonstop flights to Los Cabos (SJD) at San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport (OAK). The destination is located on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula and home to the Mexican Riviera destinations of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.

“We know very well that East Bay residents prefer to start their vacations from OAK, the convenient airport closest to home. The new flights to Cabo are well timed for hotel check-in and check-out allowing Volaris customers to optimize their fun and relaxation at this very popular destination.” said Port of Oakland Director of Aviation Craig Simon.

Daily flights between OAK and Los Cabos (SJD) begin on March 20, 2025.
• Southbound flights will depart OAK at 12:30 PM and arrive at SJD at 3:38 PM.
• Northbound flights will depart SJD at 4:38 PM and arrive at OAK at 7:49 PM.
