New Flights Link California’s Central Valley to OAK and to Flights Beyond
Oakland, CA – October 14, 2015: Oakland International Airport (OAK) welcomes Boutique Air to the growing list of airlines serving the popular San Francisco Bay area airport. The airline began service on Monday, October 5th 2016, with service between OAK and Merced Regional Airport.
“These new flights will provide convenient access for travelers to the Central Valley and from Merced travelers will have the opportunity to connect to service from OAK to any of our 49 nonstop destinations,” said Kristi McKenney, Acting Director of Aviation for the Port of Oakland. “There is also an obvious business connection for the Oakland-based University of California Office of the President as well as UC Berkeley to the UC campus in Merced,” she noted.
Boutique Air operates a modern fleet of Swiss–made Pilatus PC-12 aircraft. With amenities designed to make the flying experience as comfortable as it gets, the PC-12 features reclining leather seats in an executive configuration, power outlets, a pressurized cabin, lavatory, and a top speed of 300 mph.
Departures from OAK to Merced are scheduled up to three times daily: 6:50AM, except Saturday and Sunday; 1:30PM every day and 11:40PM, except Friday and Saturday.
