Keonnis Taylor Joins Staff at Port of Oakland Aviation Division

New Spokesperson for Oakland International Airport

Oakland, CA – October 21, 2015: The Port of Oakland is pleased to announce that Keonnis Taylor has joined the Port of Oakland Aviation Marketing and Communications Department as Senior Marketing and Communications Representative. In her new role, Taylor will be the primary spokesperson and media liaison for Oakland International Airport. She will serve as the Public Information Officer during emergency situations at the airport. She will also have responsibility for development and execution of OAK’s social media program and business to consumer periodical communications.

Most recently, Taylor served as The Allen Group’s communications and community affairs representative for the Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) Earthquake Safety Program and the Oakland Airport Connector project. Her San Francisco Bay Area transportation experience also includes Media and Public Relations for the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTA/ACTIA), where she managed public outreach, external publications, and various public information programs, such as a Speaker’s Bureau and Transportation Forums featuring Measure B-funded capital projects and programs. Outside of transportation, Taylor has served as Executive Director of Comfort Homesake, an Oakland-based advocacy organization where she currently volunteers and sits on the Board of Directors. Taylor earned a Liberal Arts degree from DePauw University in Indiana, and her Master’s degree as a National Urban Fellow at New York’s Baruch College.

She reports to John Albrecht, Manager Aviation Marketing and Communications for the Port of Oakland at the Oakland International Airport (OAK).
